We are looking for Character Artists to work as part of our development team making AAA games in Unreal Engine by creating unique and diverse characters and creatures that will pull the player into our universe.
You must be able to work closely with individuals in the other development disciplines to create unique and diverse gameplay characters and creatures for a rewarding player experience.
Create and texture highly detailed 3D character models for AAA games.
Work with the Lead Character Artist and Concept team in the creation of visually stunning character assets.
Collaborate with animators and designers to bring visually compelling characters to life within the design and technical limitations.
Contribute to the creative process through original ideas and inspiration.
Closely follow art style guides and design concepts.
Participate in critiquing your work and the work of other artists.
Work with the entire development team in an energetic and creative environment.
In-depth knowledge of character modelling as it relates to animation requirements.
Excellent sculpting skills in Zbrush or Mudbox.
Texturing skills in Substance Painter or similar software.
Experience in both hard surface and organic modelling.
Strong knowledge of human, and animal anatomy.
Expertise in modelling drapery as it relates to costume creation.
Thorough understanding of character art pipelines and AAA game integration.
Experienced understanding of PBR workflows, including hair and skin shaders.
A strong understanding of weighting and rigging for animation.
Knowledge of industry software tools & pipelines (Zbrush, 3dsMax, Maya, Substance Painter/Designer and Photoshop).
Team player with a strong work ethic and a collaborative attitude.
Passion for games and game development.
Traditional art skills, including sculpting, sketching, illustration and painting.
Familiarity with hair and fur development and workflows.
