We have a fantastic opportunity for VFX Artists (at all levels) to join our team. You will be influential in helping our studio develop original and innovative IP, alongside supporting projects across a range of platforms, genres, and game areas.
In this role, you will be expected to champion VFX design and implementation, with the ability to create dazzling effects from the magical to the mundane, within technical restrictions and that aid in gameplay immersion in collaboration with our multi-disciplined development teams
Work under direction to create stunning VFX, optimised per platform, across multiple titles
Collaborate with designers, artists and coders to design and implement VFX;
Take ownership and responsibility of your output with a willingness to help out and support other team members;
Optimize your VFX to budget, test, measure and strive to improve performance
Create prototypes and pre-visualisation concepts to help establish visual effects direction and workflows
Work with the Graphical Rendering team/Technical Art team in the development and improvement of workflows and technologies to improve visual effects quality and performance.
Work through all aspects of the VFX pipeline, which includes creating content from concept to final polish
Excellent sense of scale and composition/framing.
Ability to adhere to a cohesive aesthetic as set forth by the Art Director.
Understanding of rendering techniques, real-time shaders and lighting.
Knowledge of environment asset creation, scene construction and lighting.
Ability to create high quality animated, tileable and loopable textures.
Proficiency in generating assets in Modo, 3ds Max, Maya, Houdini and/or similar software for use in fx.
Understanding of performance optimization and technical limitations.
Ability to learn quickly in-house tools.
Works in an organized and timely fashion.
Good time management skills and efficient development processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Console development experience.
Traditional art skills, including sketching, illustration, painting, photography.
Experience using Houdini and/or other fluid and rigid body simulation software.
Experience with Perforce.
